I told you that I used DiskPart, and this is how I ended up with a deleted partition.

If you want to get rid of it, you have to delete all the partitions, do a diskpart clean all to wipe it completely, initialise it as a GPT drive or MBR drive as you may want, create as many parttions as you may want,do a quick format and use it. GPT is a more secure system which you cannot meddle with easily. That is the reason why you are getting that error message. By doing whatever you wanted to do and did, you had converted it into an MBR disk and a logical partition.

I believe that this disk was earlier a system disk and a GPT disk with Windows on it. In my perception, this error has come up because you did whatever you wanted to do. Put a tick mark in the square, double click on it and take a screenshot of the explorer Window that shows your files.( only those windows and not full screen). Tell me which partition shows all your files when double clicked. Run Partition Recovery Wizard, full scan and take screenshot of the Partitions Found window that appears at the end of the full scan. Let us see whether we succeed or not as we chug along. Data recovery rather than disk/partition recovery may be the only option. With such a messup and unclear understanding ability on my part, I don't think I will be able to do a "reverse engineering" and bring it back to the original condition. ( I also noticed that the volume was logical and wodering why a logical partition in a 1TB MBR disk.) You seem to have messed up a lot with the drive. Sorry, I have difficulty in understanding your writeup.
